A Dog Day Afternoon
Walking is just a stroll in the park for some people, especially for our four
legged friends. Remember, dogs need thirty minutes of exercise daily just as
humans do!
The West Virginia Walks presented its first of four “Rails to Tails” Dog Walk campaigns. This event took place on Sunday, March 20th at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park. Despite the cold weather and a few raindrops, there was a good turn out. About 15 people and 20 dogs came to strut their stuff. Both local news crews Channel 5 and 12, and Katie Long from The Dominion Post covered the event. T-shirts, dog biscuits, and information on pet adoption and care was also available.
Everyone’s support and donations are greatly appreciated. If you missed the
puppy parade you can attend the next event on Sunday April 3rd at 1 p.m.
