Raining Cats And Dogs…Especially Dogs
Walking has finally gone to the dogs!
The second Dog Walk event for the WV Walks campaign was held on Sunday April 3rd at Morgantown's Rail Trail.
The weather was pretty bad, but that didn't stop dedicated walkers and their pets from attending the event. There were more dogs than people, which made it very exciting.
The Humane Society had a booth set up with information concerning pet care, grooming, and overall health care for your four legged friends. "Munch," a 5-month-old puppy, was up or adoption, so he made his big debut by leading the walk.
The event started at the amphitheatre and went all the way to the dam and back. The highlight of this walk was a German shepherd named "Odie" who has never been on a leash. He was the best behaved and just followed the crowd right along.
If you missed this Dog Walk, the next one will be held on Sunday, April 17th at
Morgantown's Rail Trail. Also, take a look at our Dog Walk #2
