WVU Hospitals Kids Fair Kids Walk

On Saturday April 9th, parents and kids gathered at the mall not for shopping, but to get up and get involved with their health. Kids and parents came together for some family time at the WVU Hospitals Kids Fair and the Kids Walk at Morgantown Mall.

Over 160 people were led by Funshine Bear and Sparky the Firedog from Hyundai of Morgantown. Before the walk, kids were given star sunglasses and a pedometer to measure how many steps they took. Also, Funshine and Sparky led the kids in some stretching to get them ready for the big walk.

Kids and parents enjoyed the warm weather and had a great time while learning the benefits of walking.

Kids: keep in mind that even though the Kids' Walk is over, you can still get great exercise with your parents. Future walking events are coming up. Maybe your pet would like to join in on the family fun at the next Dog Walk on April 17th.
